The surprise reveal came during The Sunday Briefing, where Doocy shared the news while speaking about America’s youngest citizens.

“I have some family news,” he told viewers.

“This segment we were just doing, it’s aimed at America’s youngest citizens. I’ve got two at my house, you can see George there on the left and Bridget on the right.

“Well, here is a Fox News alert – another one is on the way!”

Doocy then revealed Vaughn is pregnant with baby number three.

“My wife Hillary is pregnant, she is due on my dad’s birthday,” he said.

“So Doocy party of five coming soon, and this little bundle of joy will be here in time for midterm coverage on the Sunday Briefing.”

A graphic shown during the segment featured a family photo with the words, “Baby Doocy #3 on the way.”

The announcement means Doocy and Vaughn’s children, George and Bridget, are getting a new sibling.

Doocy is Fox News’ Senior White House Correspondent.

His wife, Hillary Vaughn, is a former FOX Business Network correspondent.

The couple welcomed their son, George Jack Doocy, on April 16, 2025.

His birth came after Vaughn endured 30 hours of labor.

The date was extra special for the couple because it also fell on their fourth wedding anniversary.

Doocy joked at the time, “So thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to get your mom a card when I’m grabbing a birthday card for you.”

The pair first became parents in 2023 when their daughter, Bridget, was born.

Vaughn later revealed she had been reporting from Capitol Hill on Tax Day before learning she had to go to the hospital for George’s birth.

“Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes – I don’t blame him,” she said.

She also described expanding their family as a “blessing.”

“Growing our family means giving our kids lifelong best friends and as a new heartbeat fills our home, our hearts are filled with more love than ever before,” Vaughn said.

Doocy’s growing family also has another well-known Fox News connection.

His father, Steve Doocy, is a longtime co-host of Fox & Friends.

The new baby is due on Steve’s birthday, making the expected arrival especially meaningful for the Doocy family.

Peter joined Fox News in 2009 and later became one of the network’s most recognizable reporters.

He rose through coverage of presidential campaigns before taking on the White House beat.

His sharp exchanges during White House briefings have often gone viral.
