COPS have launched an investigation after the body of a missing man was found in a ditch with “unexplained injuries”.
Andy Reed, 62, had been missing for more than a week before he was discovered on the roadside in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Andy is believed to have been cycling on a blue women’s Dutch-style bike when he was last seen at around 10pm on April 25.
He was reported missing from the Staverton area three days later.
Cops later discovered his body by the side of Old Gloucester Road at around 1.20pm on May 3.
Gloucestershire Police said a post-mortem examination had revealed a number of unexplained injuries.
Officers are treating the death as unexplained and are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
Locals in Staverton or the surrounding area have been urged to check doorbell and CCTV from the week leading up to the body being found.
Andy was described as being around 6ft tall and of a slim build, with facial stubble and thinning dark brown hair.
He was last seen wearing a blue body warmer over a khaki green jumper, brown cords and a black rucksack, according to the force.
Andy’s heartbroken relatives have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Officers have been combing CCTV and conducting house-to-house enquiries to establish Andy’s movements in the days he was missing.
Detective Inspector Paula Hannaford said: “Our thoughts remain with Andy’s family at this very difficult time and we are doing all we can to establish the full circumstances around Andy’s death.
“I am appealing to anyone with any information which might help us piece together what happened to Andy in the days he was missing to please get in touch with the Police.
“I am particularly keen for anyone reading this appeal who was driving along Old Gloucester Road between Saturday 25 April and Sunday 3 May who has access to dashcam footage to kindly review their footage for Andy and the outstanding bike.
“The bike has a bright blue/turquoise frame, a white saddle and metal rack above the rear tyre.”
Anyone with information has been asked to submit it online quoting incident 237 of May 3.
