Molly-Mae Hague was seen supporting beau Tommy Fury’s at his boxing match fight just days after giving birth to their second child
Molly-Mae Hague joined boyfriend Tommy Fury at his boxing bout last night just days after giving birth. It was a jubilant night for the couple, who revealed their baby son’s name for the first time ahead of Tommy’s win.
Influencer Molly Mae, 27, who already shares three-year-old daughter Bambi with Tommy, took a ringside seat to watch her beau defeat former World’s Strongest Man, Eddie Hall, on Saturday night.
She looked amazing in a fitted cream dress and wore her blonde hair slicked back in a bun as she arrived at the AO Arena in Manchester, where the boxing match took place. Molly Mae showed no signs of any new baby fatigue as she cut a glamorous figure at the event.
Following the fight the second-time mum was seen embracing Tommy in his dressing room and giving him a congratulatory hug and a kiss. In the touching images he again revealed the name of the couple’s newborn son was Midas, with it printed on the back of an England football shirt he put on in the ring following his victory.
Tommy also ring-walked for the fight to the sound of England anthem Three Lions, with the name emblazoned on the back of his jacket in large gold lettering. Throughout the fight the name was seen on the front of the waistband of his shorts, with the couple’s daughter’s name, Bambi, on the back.
After winning the bout, Tommy, also 27, dedicated his boxing victory to his newborn son – as he confirmed they had named him Midas. Tommy, who secured a majority decision victory against Hall said: “This was for my new baby boy, Midas. It is another Fury, it’s another boy.”
His interview was cut short when fellow fighter Chase DeMoor – who famously beat Andrew Tate in December – came up to challenge him, prompting a fight to break out between DeMoor, and Tommy’s brother Roman Fury, and their notoriously volatile dad John Fury.
Meanwhile, heavyweight boxing superstar, Tommy’s older brother Tyson Fury, watched on in dismay from his ringside seat. In the lead up to the bout, Tommy shared that people seemed to be more interested in the announcement of his new baby’s name than the actual fight itself.
He said: “I think I’ve been asked more about the name than the actual fight. It’s going to be an entertaining night on Saturday and all will be revealed. It’s been a huge week for me and it can’t be described anything other as a huge blessing.”
Giving an update on family life, the boxer continued: “I’ve had a smile on my on my face all week. Everything’s gone smoothly; Molly’s happy, everyone’s happy. So it’s just about getting on to fight night, getting that done, and enjoying the summer with the family.
“That’s what’s on my calendar for the foreseeable. It’s been the best week that you could ever ask for. A beautiful baby boy, and a main event on Saturday night in my hometown. It’s full steam ahead now.”
What’s the meaning behind the name Midas? In Greek and Roman legend, Midas was a king known for his foolishness and greed. He was granted the wish that everything he touched turn to gold.
This myth gave rise to the common phrase ‘the Midas touch’ ,which describes someone who is exceptionally successful or profitable in their endeavours.
But Midas quickly realised the curse of this gift when he accidentally turned his food, drink, and even his daughter into a gold statue after he hugged her. Despaired and fearful, he prayed to the gods to take the curse from him.
When he turned home, everything Midas had touched became normal again. He hugged his daughter in full happiness and decided to share his great fortune with his people.
