SELF-DECLARED millionaire Lee Andrews whinged about surviving on 20p ready meals and begged a former friend for $4,000 – days before proposing to Katie Price.
The British businessman, who lives in Dubai, told a female pal that his situation was “desperate” as he pleaded with her to send him the money.
And in pitiful voice notes, he insisted: “I would never ask if I didn’t need it.”
The US-based woman also claimed that he told her he had “found someone he liked in a romantic way, but didn’t want her to know he had cashflow issues”.
She believes that person was Katie.
Lee’s final messages to her, in which he asked her for the money, were sent on January 14.
He popped the question to Katie on January 23 and the couple tied the knot in Dubai some 48 hours later.
It comes after Lee, 41, boasted about his love for his new wife in The Sun — and the former glamour model showed us “proof” he owned a £36million property in Dubai.
Katie, 47, also claimed Lee had paid for every single one of her first-class flights to and from the emirate, and said he had forked out for all the romantic dates they had been on since January.
But the other woman, a business connection-turned-friend who read Katie and Lee’s interviews in The Sun, claims he started asking her for money in October.
She shared desperate voice notes from Lee in which he tried to persuade her to send cash amounts of between $2,000 and $4,000 on multiple occasions.
When the woman, who asked not to be named, refused to comply, he replied: “F**k off, timewasters.”
She told The Sun: “Lee first contacted me in May last year. We kept it to business, nothing romantic.
“I am a businesswoman and I believed he was a businessman. We talked about work.
“In October last year, he started asking for money. He wanted 3,000 US dollars wired to him using Western Union.
“I came close to doing it, but then the more I thought about it, the more worried I got.
“He said he needed to travel to Kenya to get his money released by the Treasury.
“He told me he was living off packets of rice because he was so poor.
“Then I saw Katie saying she’s got proof he owns a £36million mansion in Dubai.
“If you have money like that to spend, you don’t beg women for small sums of cash.
“But Lee is very persuasive, he is very convincing.”
In grovelling voice notes to the woman, Lee tried to explain his position further, claiming he was waiting on payments from his business, Aura Sustainable Vehicles & Energy BVI.
In one audio message shared with us, he says: “I took a few projects on.
“They’re all paying and Aura is flying, but you know the situation. The money is all tied in there.
“Getting to Kenya, trying to release it and still waiting for the Treasury to pay me. I don’t need $4,000 or $3,000, I require it babe. I don’t know if you can cover that and, like I said, I could always pay it back.”
Lee continues: “If you can help me or send Western Union 3,000 that would help me so much. I could just do with a big hug really.”
The voice note becomes increasingly desperate, with Lee painting a picture of being too skint to eat properly.
He tells the woman: “You don’t know how desperate it’s been, the last couple of months of me trying to survive.
“Really, like, we call it the one dirham meal, which is, like, not even 20 cents meals, you know, for curry and rice. That’s what I’ve been on.
“I would never ask if I didn’t need it. If you could do this today, I’d love you. I really think I would kiss the ground.”
In another voice memo grovelling for cash, Lee says: “Hey beautiful, I won’t be able to thank you enough if you can come through for me. It won’t be long before I pay you directly back.
“Whatever you need, I’m there for you. I just need it for the movement now.
“Honestly, I am desperate for $3,000 just to get things moving so I can get there and within the 24 hours to 36 hours once I’ve done it, bang, I’m back in the money.”
The woman says Lee went on to tell her he had met someone special, who she now believes to be Katie.
She says: “He told me he had found someone he liked in a romantic way but didn’t want her to know he had cashflow issues.
“That would have been around December of last year, so I think he was referring to Katie. He said she was his special person. He carried on asking for cash, but I refused.”
The woman said Lee sent her videos of himself to prove who he was, along with clips which claimed to show paperwork of his investments.
Her claims mirror the allegations made by American businesswoman Crystal Janke, who told The Sun in January that Lee had persuaded her to plough money into his business.
He sent her videos of him discussing her investment with others, which Crystal said led to her trusting him.
She transferred Lee £123,000 in four instalments between August and September last year, which he told her would be invested in his company and would bring a return of close to £1million.
Lee had promised to pay back the cash, but Crystal insisted she has not received a penny.
Meanwhile, Lee’s ex-fiancée, Alana Percival, said Katie should “run for the hills” and not give her hubby a penny.
Both women broke their silence to warn Katie in January after her whirlwind wedding to Lee.
Speaking to The Sun last week for the first time since tying the knot, Katie was adamant Lee had not asked her for money, adding: “I haven’t gone for a conman.
“I haven’t gone for a scammer. There was no love bombing.
“I’ve gone for a beautiful human being who genuinely makes me happy, who I’m so in love with.”
On Wednesday, we revealed Lee had sent a three-minute voice note to The Sun’s Clemmie Moodie, in which he promised to take care of mum-of-five Katie, saying: “As her husband, I want to provide for her, make her happy and fulfil her desires.”
His words paint a very different picture to Crystal and Alana’s. The latter — who Lee proposed to in exactly the same way as he popped the question to Katie — branded him a “liar” and a “narcissist”.
Another woman, single mum Tina Prodromou, also contacted us to say Lee had sent her X-rated messages in December.
Others came forward to tell of his “Walter Mitty” lifestyle in Dubai.
He has been accused of using artificial intelligence to fake images of himself with tech billionaire Elon Musk and reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
Lee’s claim that he was a Member Of The Board of Advisors for the Labour Party was also shown to be a lie, along with him alleging to be a Director of Philanthropy at The King’s Trust, formerly The Prince’s Trust.
Speaking to The Sun, the latest woman to hit out at Lee admits she was stunned to learn he had been given cash by Crystal.
She says: “He was asking me for money between October and November last year, but he’d already had £123,000 from Crystal just weeks before.
“It’s shocking. I believe he was trying to take my money, too.
“At one point, he got so desperate for money he started messaging my son, too, and asking him for money. Lee is very persuasive. He has a way of speaking to you which makes you trust him.
“I am glad I never gave him a penny. I think, like Crystal, I would be getting nothing back.”
The woman, who had previously stopped talking to Lee because he wanted cash, has cut him off and blocked his social media since he asked for money again.
She says: “I was the one who reached out again to him. Something in me thought it might be different, but he immediately asked for money and I knew he hadn’t changed.
“He said he was asking his special person for half the money he needed and wanted £1,100 from me. I refused. He told me if I sent him £1,100, it could repair our friendship. But I told him no.”
In messages shared with The Sun, the woman wrote to Lee: “Please have your special person stand by you and go through this with you.
“I wish you both all the happiness in the world.” He replied: “F**k off. Timewasters.”
The woman says: “I don’t believe Lee is a multi-millionaire or owns a £36million house in Dubai. If he had that kind of money, he wouldn’t be begging me for £1,100 and living off 20p ready meals.”
Lee said: “That’s not me,” in regards to the voice notes.
He previously denied all the allegations made by Crystal and Alana.
But a source close to Katie said: “Lee has a past and so does Katie. They’re just moving forward with their lives.”
