TV star, Eamonn Holmes, is doing everything he can to save his relationship with girlfriend, Katie Alexander, 43, according to reports.

The 66-year-old stunned fans in 2024 when it was announced that he and former This Morning co-host, Ruth Langsford, 65, had called time on their marriage and were heading for divorce.

Leaving his loyal fans gobsmacked, Eamonn and relationship councillor, Katie, went public with their romance, jetting off to the party island of Ibiza for the summer and looking very loved-up indeed. However, it’s now been reported that the dad-of-three is worried his girlfriend’s head will be ‘turned’, particularly in light of their age gap

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Eamonn knows he’s lucky to have met Katie and is determined to hold onto her. There’s no getting away from the fact that there’s a 22-year age gap.

“She’s a gorgeous woman in her prime, and he wants to make sure her head never gets turned.”

Katie, who rocked up at the £270-a- night Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate with Eamonn on Boxing Day, was also seen by the star’s side at GB News host Nana Akua’s engagement party in the summer.

The couple seemed happy in each other’s company as they made their way into the swanky celebration in the capital arm in arm. However, it was later claimed that their relationship was on the rocks, made worse by Eamonn’s agonising health problems.

Claiming that the veteran presenter – who has reduced mobility following a botched back operation – was spending more time in his native Belfast, a source told the Mail: “He’s grumpier than ever and his health problems really aren’t helping, but instead of moving closer to Katie and settling, he’s spending more time with his family in Belfast, often without her.”

Katie reportedly attempted to reassure Eamonn following the reports, with the mum-of-one telling close friends: “It’s the two of us. Always and forever.” The couple were then seen at Mayfair mansion of billionaire John Caudwell in November.

Eamonn is now said to be intent on making the therapist as happy as possible and is doing everything he can to keep the relationship on track.

Claiming that the broadcaster doesn’t want to ‘scare Katie off’, the source said: “It weighs on him, and so he can get frustrated when things go wrong at work. He does his best to bottle all that up whenever he’s with Katie, though, as he doesn’t want to scare her off.”

Eamonn was recently left fuming on GB News, when his boss cut him off as he opened up about his health condition.

The presenter was defending former British Ambassador to the United States, Lord Peter Mandelson, for urinating in a London street after he was sacked from his role over his links to paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.

Eamonn admitted to urgently needing the toilet following his spinal issues over the years – telling co-host Ellie Costello: “I’m getting over a medical condition, and I just can’t wait.

“And then (Mandelson) was in the street. But what else is the man to do? Knock on someone’s door and say, ‘Would you let me go and have a pee in your house?’

“Most people are going to say, ‘how dare you? I’m not going to do that’, so I’m saying there is a difficulty in public about where you actually go to relieve yourself. That’s the thing.”

However, Eamonn was told to wrap things up through his ear piece as he fumed: “As my producer says in my ear, the giveaway is next. They’re obviously not interested in this dilemma or how it relates to me identifying with it.”

The Mirror has contacted Eamonn’s rep for comment on this story.
