Britain’s Got Talent viewers have branded the live final a ‘fix’ as Jeremy Clarkson was spotted in tears in the audience over his farmers’ choir before their win.

10 acts took to the stage tonight (May 30) for the live final of the ITV talent show in a bid to win a place in the Royal Variety Show, as well as taking home a life-changing £250,000.

Returning to the stage for their last performance of the series were The Hawkstone Farmers Choir, who were given the golden buzzer during the auditions by Amanda Holden, which sent them through to the live semi-finals.

Founded by Jeremy and named after the famous presenter’s Hawkstone brewery, the group is made up of agriculture workers from rural Oxfordshire, many of whom live and work near Jeremy’s Diddly Squat Farm.

They set out to raise awareness for mental health in the farming community, and the 32-strong collective advanced all the way to the BGT final.

During the audition, one of its members said: “I’m Catriona and Jeremy Clarkson did a thing, and that thing was the Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir. Jeremy brought us together to sing and it’s just been really amazing for us all. Every single one of us is in agriculture in some way or another. This isn’t our day job, we’re normally out in the field.

“We work by ourselves day in, day out, sometimes 16 hours a day. This has brought us all together… We have one thing that unites us and that is farming. We love what we do, but it’s incredibly lonely. It’s really isolating, to do this all together means the world to us.”

In the live final, the choir took a chance on an original song named ‘This is Home’. During the emotional performance, the camera panned to Jeremy who was in the audience to support the choir, which showed him in tears.

Following the act, Amanda said: “What an incredible song. An amazing performance,” as KSI added: “It’s such a risk especially in the final to do an original song, but put that on Spotify.”

Alesha said: “We can feel the warmth and how much it means to you. You sounded fantastic. You’re in with a real shot tonight,” as Simon agreed that the original song has ‘paid off’ and said: “Tonight that was absolutely on the money. The best act we’ve seen so far tonight.”

During the live final, The Hawkstone Farmers Choir were crowned the winners of Britain’s Got Talent 2026. But some fans are convinced that the result is a fix due to Jeremy’s association with ITV.

Taking to X, @RhysxRose wrote: “How much money do you think Jeremy Clarkson gave to try and make sure the farmers win #BGT.”

@mathew_wheatley said: “Why does it constantly feel like #BGT is pushing for Hawkstone Farmers Choir to win… they don’t talk this much praise about other acts, the constant panning to Jeremy Clarkson… It just feels like its already been decided… by the production team.”

@demelcy wrote: “Pure fix if the choir win #bgt,” as @Imtherealanon added: “I think Simon is being nice while Jeremy is in the house. The choir was very good but not sure it was a winning performance. #BGT #BritainsGotTalent.”

@Yousaf_S_1987 Also said: “The judges REALLY pushing Clarkson’s choir. And Simon Cowell wonders why the ratings have been dire this year? Is the fix in? #BGT #BritainsGotTalent.”

@Pickitflickit added: “Fix – oh they magically wrote a song did they? #bgt #britainsgottalent.”

However some fans are in full support of the choir, as @JohnKingDerry1 said: “#BritainsGotTalent #BGT #BGTFinal WOW! Just WOW! What a choir, what a performance. This is a WINNER! So lovely to see Jeremy Clarkson in the audience. We need them to win, to support so many farmers who need support out there. Well Done!

@IamHappyHiker wrote: “Whether you like @JeremyClarkson or not (and I know a lot don’t), for the farmers who work so hard in all weathers, please vote for Hawkstone Farmers Choir on Britain’s Got Talent. I am. In any case, farmers or not, they are a cracking choir. #bgt.”
