THIS is the moment Fox News star Peter Doocy revealed live on air that he and wife Hillary are expecting their third child.
The senior White House correspondent, 38, surprised viewers during The Sunday Briefing as he announced the couple’s growing family will soon become a party of five.
Doocy, who already shares son George and daughter Bridget with Fox Business correspondent Hillary Vaughn, broke the news while discussing a segment aimed at young Americans.
He told viewers: “I have some family news.
“This segment we were just doing, it’s aimed at America’s youngest citizens. I’ve got two at my house, you can see George there on the left and Bridget on the right.
“Well, here is a Fox News alert – another one is on the way!”
“My wife Hillary is pregnant, she is due on my dad’s birthday. So Doocy party of five coming soon, and this little bundle of joy will be here in time for midterm coverage on the Sunday Briefing,” he added.
A graphic shown during the segment featured a family photo alongside the message: “Baby Doocy #3 on the way.”
The announcement quickly sparked congratulations from colleagues and viewers, with many celebrating the latest milestone for one of Fox News’ most recognizable families.
The Sunday Briefing later shared the moment on social media, writing: “Exciting news from the Doocy family! Peter Doocy announced that he and his wife, Hillary, are expecting baby No. 3. George and Bridget are getting a new sibling, and the family is soon becoming a party of five!”
The baby news comes just over a year after Doocy and Vaughn welcomed their second child, son George Jack Doocy.
George was born on April 16, 2025, after Vaughn endured 30 hours of labor.
The date also happened to be the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary.
At the time, Doocy joked: “So thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to get your mom a card when I’m grabbing a birthday card for you.”
The couple first became parents in 2023 when daughter Bridget was born.
When George arrived, Vaughn revealed she had been reporting from Capitol Hill on Tax Day before learning it was time to head to the hospital.
She said: “Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes – I don’t blame him.”
Vaughn later described growing their family as a “blessing,” adding:
“Growing our family means giving our kids lifelong best friends and as a new heartbeat fills our home, our hearts are filled with more love than ever before.”
Doocy has become one of Fox News’ highest-profile reporters since joining the network in 2009.
He rose to prominence covering presidential campaigns before becoming the network’s Senior White House Correspondent, a role that has seen his often combative exchanges in White House briefings regularly make headlines.
Away from Washington, he is also part of one of Fox’s best-known broadcasting families.
His father, Steve Doocy, is a longtime co-host of Fox & Friends, making the expected arrival of another grandchild all the more special as the baby is due on Steve’s birthday.
