💖 “So it was very memorable actually”: Lara Tr.u.mp has opened up about the very first time she met her husband, Eric Tr.u.mp, while she was training as a pastry chef — revealing the unexpected first words he said that left her completely stunned

LARA Trump has revealed the insulting remark her husband Eric made on the first night they met in 2008.

The GOP power couple detailed how they met at a New York City club where Lara said her future husband made a “unique” but memorable comment after she told him she was in culinary school.

Lara spoke about the couple’s early days with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on board Air Force One as they traveled to the high-stakes meeting in Beijing China with her father-in-law President Donald Trump.

Lara, who is also a Fox News host, sat alongside her husband of 12 years as she branded their meeting as “basic.”

“It’s one of these stories where we met out in New York City one night and it was probably thanks to my roommate at the time who dragged me out. I was gonna stay in that night, I was gonna watch TV, watch a movie.”

Lara begrudgingly went out and to her surprise, she found a man who was taller than her.

Lara stands at 5’11, and over six-feet in heels, she revealed.

Eric chimed in the conversation with Hannity, saying Lara told him about how she was in culinary school in New York at the time.

“I looked down – this was in my better years – and I grabbed her stomach, and you know her she’s a workout maniac, she’s got 12-pack abs, and I go, ‘You must be the worst pasty chef in the history of the world because you have exactly zero percent body fat,’” he said as Lara laughed.

“Which by the way, was actually very unique because most of these guys would be like ‘Oh let’s cook together we could hang out.’ And here’s some guy who semi-insults me, but I kind of like it,” Lara chimed in.

“So it was very memorable actually.”

Lara said she appreciated how Eric thought she was in shape, but was insulted that he thought her food must taste awful.

“I feel like it’s worked out. It’s has been a hell of a ride,” Lara said.

The pair exchanged numbers at the end of the night they met, but Lara revealed Eric misspelled her name when he went to text her afterward.

“My name gives people a hard time, L-A-R-A not L-A-U-R-A ,” she said.

Eric texted her “Hey, Laura, great hanging out and meeting you last night,” which left Lara saying, “I don’t know about this guy.”

Eric apologized after she corrected him on the spelling and the pair went out on the first date three months later due to their busy schedules.

Lara revealed that they were so deep in conversation on the first date that they didn’t order any food until four hours in.

“I felt so bad for our waitress,” she said. “And you want to get a good tip, you want to turn your table over and we sat there for four hours and didn’t order anything.”

Eric had Lara in a fit of laughter as he said it took him a few years to realize she was the one, but he said he felt the strong connection on their first date as he praised her for being amazing and hardworking.

“She didn’t like kids, which was kind of funny to me because she’s actually turned out to be the world’s greatest mother,” Eric said.

“It’s not that I didn’t like kids, I just wasn’t ready!” she laughed.

Lara and Eric, the youngest of Trump’s three children from his first marriage to Ivana Trump, got married at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2014.

The couple welcomed their son Luke in 2017 followed by the birth of their daughter Carolina two years later.
