Each and every morning, FOX & Friends cohost Ainsley Earhardt starts her day with a giant cup of gratitude.
âHow am I one of the very few morning show anchors whoâs a female that wakes up America?â Earhardt, 49, exclusively shared with Us Weekly while celebrating her new childrenâs book, America, Iâm So Glad You Were Born. âI think itâs because God put me in this position and brought me to New York, which was a desire I had when I was a child. God gave me New York City, but also gave me FOX News, where I could still have my conservative Christian values.â
The University of South Carolina alum joined the network in 2007 and has recently conducted interviews with President Donald Trump, first lady Melania Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.
When sheâs not cohosting FOX & Friends with Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade and Lawrence Jones, Earhardt makes time to host FOX Nationâs Ainsleyâs Bible Study and share her love of God.
âWhy did He choose Ainsley? I think because He knew I would be vocal about him,â Earhardt said. âIâm not afraid to talk to people about Him, even though itâs Hollywood or itâs New York City people who arenât used to this, because I want people to experience what Iâve experienced.â
Another recent blessing in Earhardtâs life came when fellow Fox News host Sean Hannity proposed to her last December.
While Earhardt thought she was simply traveling to a meeting with her then-boyfriend about a home renovation, Hannity, 64, had other plans when he drove to their Florida church and âwalked up to the altar, got down on his knee and pulled out this beautiful ring.â
The romantic gesture caught Earhardt â who shares 10-year-old daughter Hayden from a previous relationship â by surprise and left her in âhappy tears.â
âWe just prayed and thanked God that He had brought us together,â she recalled. âI canât believe God loves me this much to give me the most amazing man Iâve ever met. ⊠Heâs just an amazing, generous, kind, forgiving, loving man who has embraced my child, a 10-year-old. He has children in their 20s, and heâs just wonderful. ⊠He would give anybody the shirt off his back. Ask anybody at FOX.â
When looking back on her journey growing up in South Carolina to finding both personal and professional success in New York City, Earhardt canât help but also give thanks to America, a place she believes is filled with hope and opportunity.
In her childrenâs book titled America, Iâm So Glad You Were Born, Earhardt aims to celebrate Americaâs traditions and the freedoms citizens hold like freedom of speech, religion and opportunity.
âItâs an easy book to get through when youâve had a long day and you want an easy book to read to your children,â she said. âYour children can scream every time you read the stanza. âIâm so glad you were born.â They can say, âAmerica, Iâm so glad you were born.ââ
Earhardt continued, âThe 4th of July is more than the floats and fireworks and the barbecue. Itâs about our country and our freedom. Thatâs what I hope parents are able to teach their children.â
America, Iâm So Glad You Were Born is available now wherever books are sold. FOX & Friends airs on FOX News weekdays at 6 a.m. ET.
