COPS have launched an urgent hunt to find a missing woman who vanished from a quiet town near a popular racecourse.
Concerns are growing for Aaliyah Woods, 22, who disappeared from Litherland, Merseyside, last night.
The 22-year-old vanished from her home town – a few miles from Aintree Racecourse – shortly after 6pm yesterday.
Merseyside Police say Aaliyah has links to the Hawthorne Road area in Litherland and the Ford area of south Sefton.
She is described by the force as having long brown hair, with brown eyes and of a slim build.
Aaliyah is believed to have been wearing leggings and a black t-shirt at the time of her disappearance.
Issuing a statement, Merseyside Police said: “Please share and help us find a missing woman from Litherland.
“Aaliyah Woods, 22, was last seen at around 6.15pm this evening (Saturday 10 January) and enquiries are ongoing to find her.
“She is described as having shoulder length brown hair, brown eyes and a slim build.
“When last seen she was wearing a black T-shirt, leggings and shoes.
“Aaliyah has links to the Ford area of south Sefton and the Hawthorne Road area of Litherland.
“If you see Aaliyah, please call 999 so we can make sure she’s safe.”
