His £10million divorce fight with Ruth Langsford is heading to court, The Sun on Sunday revealed yesterday.

We told how the warring pair’s case has already had two hearings last June and in February — with a trial set for November.

The pair, who split two years ago, have now hired top lawyers to fight it out after failing to agree a financial settlement over their combined wealth.

A source said Ruth launched court action for a so-called “financial remedy” hearing after negotiations broke down.

The case is now listed as Ruth Holmes vs Eamonn Holmes.

Court documents list Ruth as the applicant and former This Morning co-host, Eamonn, as the respondent.

A pre-trial review is due to take place in months.

The details of the proceedings between the estranged couple, who have a 24-year-old son, are not publicly known.
