TOP chefs Marcus Wareing and Gordon Ramsay have only recently ended their famous 16-year feud.
But now the two culinary giants have decided the reunion should produce something positive in the form of a new cookery show.
Gordon’s production company is making the BBC Two programme, which starts filming later this year, while Marcus will be the host.
Marcus said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside Gordon again. It’s been many years since we last shared a kitchen, and I can’t wait to get started.
“I’m really looking forward to unwrapping the memories from our cooks and taking them on a journey down memory lane.”
Marcus explained the concept behind the daytime series, which has yet to receive a working title and probably won’t air until 2027.
He said: “The purpose of the show is to help chefs improve by mastering the simplest things done well, because that’s where the real magic lies.
Recreating dishes from memories or inspired by loved ones can be truly life-changing and have a lasting impact on their future.”
Gordon added: “Every chef knows that food is about more than what’s on the plate. It’s about bringing people together and and creating connections.
“This new format does exactly that. It combines fantastic home cooking with extraordinary human stories and celebrates the kitchen as the heart of every home.”
Gordon and Marcus fell out when the latter left his job as head chef at Gordon’s restaurant in 2008 to set up his own venture.
It became a rift which was legendary within the restaurant industry, but Marcus has since said that it was the best thing that could have happened to both of them.
Now Ramsay seems to have adopted a more philosophical view of events too, and gushed about their new TV new venture together.
He said: “Marcus and I go back a long way, and I’m delighted that we’re coming together to bring this very special series to BBC Daytime.”
A BROWN WEDDING?
Millie Bobby Brown gives a new meaning to shotgun weddings in a teaser for the next installment of Netflix detective hit Enola Holmes.
With Lord Tewkesbury, played by Louis Partridge, waiting for her at the altar in Malta, Enola – younger sister of super-sleuth Sherlock – has important business to tend to first.
Grappling with a gun and whether she wants to marry her love, fans are left wondering if she’ll pull the trigger on either.
Trying on a series of elaborate gowns ahead of the big day, feisty Enola muses: “I’ve spent the last six years making myself feel worthy of the Holmes name, would I now be giving that up? Can I love him without losing myself?”
Then, on the morning of her wedding, Dr Watson (Himesh Patel) turns up to inform her that Sherlock (Henry Cavill) has been kidnapped – and asks for her help in tracking him down.
Fast-forward to Enola and Lord Tewkesbury, both bloodied in their wedding finery.
He sighs: “This isn’t how I imagined this moment.”
Watch the wild ride from July 1.
Fans of Dominic West and Ruth Wilson’s steamy thriller The Affair will be able to watch series four on ITV from next month.
The series has been one ITVX’s most streamed since it landed earlier this year.
It follows New York teacher Noah (West) and local waitress Alison (Wilson) who embark on a relationship with each other despite being married. Season four lands from July 5.
ITV QUIZ ANSWERS CRITICS
Pulling in an audience can prove quite the challenge, but ITV has cracked it with its quiz channel.
Since launching last June, ITV Quiz has become the fastest-growing digital channel in the top 30.
Fan favourites like Alan Carr’s Epic Gameshow, Romesh Ranganathan’s Parents’ Evening, Beat The Chasers and Jeremy Clarkson’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? have all helped drive its success.
ITV Quiz has seen a 95 per cent increase in its average audience share compared to the same 12-month period for ITVBe in 2024 to 2025.
ITV’s Simon Tomkins said: “We’re delighted. ITV Quiz’s success shows that we are truly a nation of quiz fanatics.”
That solves the ratings puzzle then.
