A TEENAGER has died with two others being rushed to hospital following a “very bad” multi-car crash on a busy A-road.
Emergency services rushed to the A48 near St Nicholas, Cardiff, at 8pm on Saturday after the horror accident.
An 18-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, with two others, aged 59 and 64, being rushed to hospital for treatment.
One witness at the scene described it as “a very bad crash”.
They added: “People were doing the best they could to help those in both cars before emergency services arrived.
“Paramedics, police, and fire engines then arrived really quickly.
“It’s really upsetting to hear about the young boy.”
South Wales Police were called to the collision at The Tumble in St Nicholas on June 6 after they were alerted to a two-car collision.
An MG and a Land Rover had crashed on the A-road, leaving both vehicles badly damaged at the scene.
A teenager from Ely, Cardiff, tragically died at the scene with his family informed and supported by specially-trained officers.
A woman, 59, and a man, 64, from Bonvilston, Vale of Glamorgan were taken to hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision
