‘DISGRACE’
Fresh calls to strip shamed ex-Scotland rugby ace Stuart Hogg of MBE over domestic abuse rap
First Minister John Swinney previously joined with charities and doctors in calling for bully Hogg to lose his honour
FRESH calls have been made to strip shamed Stuart Hogg of his MBE a year after he was sentenced for a domestic abuse campaign against his ex-wife.
Honours chiefs are coming under renewed pressure to take back the gong awarded to the former Scotland rugby captain, 33, in January 2024.

SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn — who has repeatedly demanded its removal — wrote again to the Forfeiture Committee just days ago.
He branded the lack of action against Hogg — who tormented former spouse Gillian over a five-year period — as a “complete disgrace”.
Mr Flynn said: “Quite frankly, it is an insult to victims of domestic abuse across the country and reflects very poorly on the Forfeiture Committee.
“He must be stripped of his MBE without delay.”
Dr Anni Donaldson, an expert in gender-based abuse at Strathclyde University, said: “Hogg has disgraced himself and brought rugby and the honours system into disrepute.
“Refusing to do anything tells survivors their abusers can get away with it or that what they suffered isn’t important.”
It comes after First Minister John Swinney previously joined with charities and doctors in calling for bully Hogg to lose his honour for services to rugby.
We told how Hogg pleaded guilty in November 2024 to a charge of domestic abuse involving mum-of-four Gillian, 38.
He admitted shouting, swearing, tracking her movements and sending distressing messages.
The Forfeiture Committee says it does not comment on individual honours.
Former Post Office chief Paula Vennells, 66, lost her CBE after the Horizon IT scandal.
Ex-boxer Prince Naseem Hamed, 51, had an MBE removed after being jailed for dangerous driving.
Fallen star in cryptic Insta post

By Jordan Tennant
STUART Hogg made a cryptic social media post hours after his latest partner announced they had split.
The convicted bully, 33, told his 162,000 Instagram followers: “The peace that you feel without them is worth being the villain in their story.”
It came after Leonna Mayor, 35, who gave birth to Hogg’s fifth child, Teddy, last February, revealed online that she has been single “for a while”.
