A PENSIONER has died in a car crash that also sent two young children to hospital.
The 87-year-old passed away following a collision involving two vehicles yesterday morning on the A92, north of Rathillet in Fife.

The tragedy took place around 10.40am with a red Dacia Sandero and a blue Vauxhall Astra.
The male driver of the Dacia was taken to Ninewells Hospital, where he later died.
A 88 year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Dacia, the 32-year-old male driver of the Vauxhall and his two passengers aged seven and 13, were also taken to Ninewells Hospital.
The road reopened around 3pm.
Sergeant Grant Hastie said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding this crash.
“We are keen to speak to any witnesses to the crash or anyone who may have dashcam from the area around the time.”

Meanwhile, a 57-year-old man has died after a crash involving two cars and a motorcycle on the B7024 Alloway to Maybole road in South Ayrshire.
The collision happened shortly after 6.30pm on Friday, March 13, 2026 north of Culroy and involved a red Honda VFR800 motorcycle, a grey Omoda 9 Noble and a white Volkswagen Tiguan.
The rider of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
The road was closed until shortly after 4am on Saturday, 14 March to allow for an investigation at the scene.
Sergeant Neal Galbraith said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died in this collision.
“Our investigation to establish exactly what happened is ongoing and we would urge anyone who may have information to get in touch.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the crash.
“Anyone who believes they can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 2877 of March 13, 2026.”
