Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley told WHO about the demands Danny made to be on the show.
The MAFS: After the Dinner Party series has given Married at First Sight fans exactly what they want: more. From exposing unseen footage to calling out contestant’s lies, there has been one shocking twist after the next, and according to hosts Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley, the finale is “that on steroids.”
Hosts Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley told WHO all the gossip on who attended and what went down in the series’ final episode.
From Danny making a last-minute appearance with “shocking” requests to production, to a couch filled to the brim with fighting contestants, no amount of planning could have prepared the hosts for what went down.
What was Danny’s request to MAFS: After the Dinner Party?
While majority of the MAFS contestants have been dealing with the heat of the show (and their behaviour) for the show’s entire run, Danny was able to coast through and almost got off scot-free.
However, after his “shocking” exit interview from the show (where he claimed women would be “queuing up” for him “on the street”) the public is finally slamming him for his treatment and manipulation of Bec as his true colours came to light.
“I don’t think he has dealt well with the turn of events,” Brittany said to WHO. “For him to have finally at the very end have a bit of pushback from the public. He’s very defensive about that. Whereas everyone else is dealing with it the whole time.”
In his way of pushing back at the public, Danny had some “shocking” requests for his finale appearance, sending the final episode into “chaos.”

For the final MAFS: After the Experiment episode, Laura told WHO that Danny “wasn’t meant to be on the show.”
“He had been ignoring production’s calls. He had no interest and he made that very clear,” she said. “Then he decided he was going to try and negotiate money in order to come on.”
“So he was really trying to like drive a bargain. Producers said no to that. And then last, very last minute in the morning of when we were filming, he was like, you know what? I want to come and I want to be on the show.”
After hearing this news, the production team had to “scramble and restructure the show because Danny was coming”, however, he also came with “conditions.”
He refused to be on the couch with Bec.
After arriving to filming “so late” after catching “a flight in the middle of the day”, he “refused to be on the couch with Bec,” Laura explained.
While they met some of his conditions since they ultimately “wanted to be able to have a conversation with him,” they “didn’t meet everything.”
“We said no to the moolah,” Brittany joked. “All that money went to our snacks department.”
“But I will say not everything goes to plan,” she added.
