TV presenter Rylan Clark took to social media to share a relationship update as he gets ready to ring in the new year ‘happy’

Rylan Clark has shared a heartwarming update as he gets ready to ring in the new year. The TV presenter, 37, took to Instagram to share the love before 2026 arrives.

He said there was to be “no big post” this year as he let followers into a relationship update. He penned: “Finishing this year happy with someone I’ve been waiting for for a long time.

“Thanks for another amazing year. Bye 2025… stay safe, stay well and look after each other… Onto 2026.” He was met with lots of appreciation in the comments section by his celeb pals.

Among those responding was Louise Redknapp, who simply shared a red love heart emoji. Rob Rinder also jokingly thanked his pal.

It comes after Rylan gushed over his new romance. In September, the BBC personality made things official on Instagram with his partner Kennedy Bates, who runs a funfair business.

He had hinted at his fresh romance during an instalment of his podcast, How To Be In Love, back in August. While he kept Kennedy’s identity under wraps at the time, he did acknowledge he’d been quietly seeing someone for a period.

He’s subsequently become more candid about their partnership, recently posting snaps of the couple during a loved-up getaway to Florence.

In July, Rylan, who first found fame on The X Factor, opened up about the reason behind his divorce from husband Dan Neal in 2021. He admitted that he was unfaithful to his ex-husband early on in their relationship, not expecting his husband to leave him when he confessed in 2021.

Four years after the heartbreaking split, he spoke candidly about the difficult time that he experienced afterwards. Chatting to Love Island star Tasha Ghouri on the How to Be… podcast, Rylan said: “When I went through my divorce, I had a full-on breakdown because it wasn’t just us.

“It felt like it wasn’t just us, even though it was just me and my ex. I felt that everyone’s going to think this of me. Everyone’s going to think, ‘Oh, look, his life isn’t perfect. Oh look, he’s failed like that.’ I just felt like a failure.”

Rylan previously also admitted to Stephen Fry that he was having suicidal thoughts after the split. He also revealed he dropped down to just nine stone in weight.

Discussing the challenging times in his second autobiography, TEN: The Decade That Changed My Future, he wrote a reflection and said: “I got in a relationship quite young and just went with it. Now I know I’m my own person. I’m not going to settle for something that’s not right. In a wa,y it’s been a bit of a gift.

“I’m happy to have sex with someone, and that’s that, that’s not a problem. But do I want more? Of course, I want more. Am I going to enjoy myself on the way? Abso-f***ing-lutely.”
