Police issue update after major Bury road shuts following crash
Officers, paramedics and firefighters attended the scene
Police have issued an update after a major road was shut following a crash in Bury. Emergency services descended on Radcliffe New Road, between Radcliffe and Whitefield, on Thursday night (March 12).
It followed a crash involving a car and a campervan, close to the junction with Hollinhurst Road, in Radcliffe. Officers, firefighters and paramedics all attended the scene.
In an update issued this morning (Friday), Greater Manchester Police said a woman in her early 20s was injured during the collision. Her injuries have been described as non-life-threatening.

She was tended to by North West Ambulance Service. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, GMP said.
The two badly-damaged vehicles could be seen side-by-side on Radcliffe New Road last night. An onlooker said one vehicle appeared to have pulled out from a side road, into the path of the other.
They added: “The damage is pretty bad. There were quite a lot of emergency services here earlier.
“I spoke to someone earlier who said they’d seen one of the drivers and said they looked pretty shook up. He said there were a lot of ambulances and police blocking the road.”
