A 17-YEAR-OLD girl was killed after being hit by several vehicles moments after getting out of hospital, an inquest has heard.
Demi Edmunds tragically passed away on February 12, in Cwmbran, Wales, after she was struck by onrushing cars on a busy A-road.

During the inquest into her death, Gwent Coroner’s Court heard that Demi discharged herself from Grange University Hospital in Cwmbran on the morning of her death.
She had attended the hospital the previous day following a suspected overdose.
Demi had left hospital with a support worker and later stepped out from the central reservation of the A4042.
She was struck by multiple vehicles and, despite the best efforts of emergency services, died at the scene.
A post-mortem examination ruled a provisional cause of death as one of multiple injuries.
Demi’s family described her as “funny, kind and caring and loved by all.”
Her brother Jake said she was the “best sister I could’ve ever asked for.”
He added: “Hopefully she’s in heaven, somewhere better.”
Demi was remembered as a “beloved” daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin and niece.
Her wider family said: “Demi loved her friends, and she was loved by all.”
The tragedy is still being investigated with area coroner Rose Farmer adjourning the inquest until November 26.
