A young police officer has tragically died after he became injured in the line of duty this week.
On Thursday (March 19), PC Bradley Corke suffered critical injuries after his police car was involved in a collision in Farningham. The force has confirmed the 27-year-old, who served with Kent Police since May 2022, has now sadly died.
A colleague also remains critically ill in hospital following the horror smash while a member of the public, who was in a second vehicle, continues to receive treatment for serious injuries.
In a statement, Kent Police paid tribute to PC Corke. It read: “Bradley selflessly gave up his life while trying to save the lives of others who were in danger. His bravery, dedication, and passion for helping others will not be forgotten.”

The statement added: “PC Corke served with the force since May 2022. He was based in Tonbridge and spent his police service in the towns of West Kent. The force is supporting his family and colleagues, who are devastated.”
The sad news comes as the force continues to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information about the collision to assist with enquiries.
