I’M A Celebrity fans have spotted the moment that ‘gives away’ Jimmy Bullard is not telling the truth about his trial clash with Adam Thomas.
The pair had an explosive fall out on the South Africa series when Jimmy said ‘I’m a Celebrity‘ during a pairs trial.
He was teamed up with Adam, and saying the words meant both men would be going home.
It caused Adam, 37, to lose his temper, and he was seen on screen calling Jimmy, 47, a “p****” and using the F word multiple times.
However, Jimmy has insisted the exchange was much worse, claiming Adam also used the C word and was “aggressive, abusive and intimidating”.
The drama kicked off again during Friday’s live final, after Jimmy explained his reasons for doing what he did.
He said: “When we went down to trial, it was originally for stars, so then I chose Adam when it was for stars.
“Then you sprung a big lightbulb moment in my head when you said the bottom two get to go home.
“So I didn’t choose Adam after that, I didn’t know anyone was going home, I thought it was for stars.”
He continued to explain how he spoke to someone on production and asked about the terms of his contract, and claimed he would only get a percentage of his payment if he quit while in camp, but would get the whole amount if he did it during a trial.
But I’m a Celeb viewers weren’t convinced by his explanation, and went back to watch the episode in question.
Sharing the pre-trial clip on a Reddit forum, host Declan Donnelly can be heard saying: “Over the next few days you’ll be taking on trials and challenges in pairs.
“And your fate going forward will depend on how well you perform during each trial in that pair.”
They wrote underneath the clip: “Surely this just proves everything Jimmy said to be a lie?!
“He said he didn’t choose Adam deliberately as when he picked Adam he thought they would be getting stars, and they didn’t find out the real reason until after they had picked their partners!”
Another replied: “I said myself it seemed planned to sabotage Adam and his place.
“This proves Jimmy was talking rubbish. He even smirked whilst standing there refusing to do the trial after letting Adam get in with the ants waiting for him.”
But another argued: “I think the notion that Jimmy purposely chose Adam to get him out is a joke. It isn’t a big conspiracy. Jimmy was selfish, plain and simple.”
A fellow viewer agreed: “Yeah, people are reading way, way too deep into this. He just wanted his full pay, there was no secret conspiracy to get Adam out.”
It comes as a source close to Jimmy – who claimed he was kicked out of the London studios with David Haye after the fiery exchange – revealed how he felt he had been stitched up by ITV.
“He wanted everyone to see the shocking unedited version of the fight.
I’m A Celeb All Stars 2026 cast line-up

I’m A Celebrity South Africa is back for another series.
Having already braved the Aussie outback on minimal food and been covered with creepy critters, 14 famous faces have thrown caution to the wind and signed up for a second dose of torture this time in South Africa.
The Sun was first to confirm the line-up of famous faces and they are:
- David Haye
- Gemma Collins
- Seann Walsh
- Harry Redknapp
- Scarlett Moffatt
- Adam Thomas
- Sir Mo Farah
- Ashley Roberts
- Sinitta
- Craig Charles
- Jimmy Bullard
- Beverley Callard
“Adam swore at him multiple times and most bystanders were shocked by his actions so Jimmy felt it was the last chance for viewers to see the full extent of his behaviour.
“He was hugely disappointed in Ant and Dec for appearing to take Adam’s side and feels like he has been made a scapegoat. “Jimmy isn’t an angry person but he will stand up for what’s right.
“He was also disappointed his show buddy Gemma sided with Adam despite not even being present during their row. He thinks it feels performative on her part.
“He is talking to lawyers and looking into his ITV contract to see what grounds there are to sue.”
A spokesman for ITV said: “We showed an accurate and fair representation of events.”
The Sun Online has contacted a representative for Jimmy for comment.
