ADAM Thomas has revealed a huge lie that David Haye told him during I’m A Celeb… South Africa, that wasn’t aired on-screen.
The show winner has gone through a tough time following a bullying row with David and a clash with Jimmy Bullard – both of which exploded during the show’s live final last week.
And now, Adam has revealed that the boxer told a nasty lie just to get under his skin while they were in camp.
Talking on his podcast, At Home With The Thomas bros, Adam told his brothers Scott and Ryan about how David had used his mental health as a tool to “manipulate” him.
Despite struggling in the jungle with David’s constant jibes, Adam said he didn’t tell producers about how he was feeling as he attempted to power through.
He explained: “I didn’t talk about it to anyone.
“It wasn’t until I was with David, and I came back from this trial and he was goading me about fainting, that’s when I finally had the courage to go, ‘Listen, shut up now, enough is enough’.
“He got pulled to the Bush Telegraph, and then he came out and he sat me down and said, ‘They’re worried about your mental health. They’ve told me to stop now. Have you been crying about me in there?’
“So that was when I realised, I was like, ‘So, they know, they know what’s been going on’, and that upset me more.
“Because it’s the fact that I’ve never once talked about [David] or mentioned what [David’s] done to me in here to them.”
Adam continued that he then went to producers to ask why they told David that, to which they revealed none of this had happened during David’s Bush Telegraph chat.
He said: “So I’ve gone in there breaking down, like ‘how could you do this’, and they’ve said, ‘Adam, we’ve never once said anything to David about you or your mental health or any of that’.
“I asked David when I got out and he said ‘Yeah I just made it all up.’
“I was like, wow, you really fu***ng manipulated the s*** out of me.”
Adam broke down in tears during the emotional podcast episode, which saw him speak out for the first time since the show’s dramatic final.
Elsewhere on the episode, he emotionally sad the negatives of his experience on the show will stick with him “for the rest of my life”.
