PARK TRAGEDY
Tragedy as teenage girl’s body is found at popular park as playground is cordoned off

THE body of a teenage girl has been discovered in a town park, sparking a major emergency response.
Police were scrambled to Memorial Park in North Walsham, Norfolk just after 7am today following reports a body had been found.

Emergency crews raced to the scene, where a girl in her late teens was tragically pronounced dead.
Her family have been informed, as the cops continue their investigations.
A spokeswoman for Norfolk Constabulary said: “The death is not believed to be suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Shocked eyewitnesses said several police cars and ambulances were seen in and around the park this morning as officers carried out inquiries.
An investigation is now under way to establish the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
A neighbour, living close to the park, said the entrance had been cordoned off by police.
They said: “I just saw the flashing lights and a ‘please do not enter’ sign across the front gates.”
