Nine’s high-stakes reality series Shark! ended with another celebrity contestant forced to miss the terrifying final dive after a health scare in the Bahamas.
The six-part program followed six Australian stars as they confronted their fears through a series of increasingly dangerous shark encounters.
But by the time the finale rolled around, only half the cast would ultimately complete the last challenge – a dive with tiger sharks at a notorious location linked to several fatal attacks.
After Olympic swimmer Ariarne Titmus opted out of the final episode earlier in the season, influencer Tammy Hembrow was also ruled out of the climactic dive following medical concerns.
Hembrow had complained of pain and numbness in her hand, which fellow contestants initially suspected was a pinched nerve.
However, the show’s medical team warned the symptoms could be linked to decompression sickness – a potentially life-threatening condition associated with diving.

‘It’s a possible dive-related injury where the gases haven’t properly been released from your body,’ a medic explained on the show.
Doctors placed the social media star on oxygen treatment and advised that she could not safely return to the water for the final challenge.
Executive producer Chloe Baker later reassured a devastated Hembrow that the decision had been made purely for her safety.
‘If we put you out on that boat tomorrow and something goes wrong, we’re two hours away from shore,’ Baker said.
An emotional Hembrow was later seen in tears as medics prepared her oxygen equipment.
‘To think that I am not going to be able to finish what I came here to do is heartbreaking,’ she said.
Former Home and Away actress Lynne McGranger also skipped the final expedition, remaining behind to support Hembrow on shore.
In the end, only Scott Cam, Matt Nable and Sam Thaiday completed the show’s final shark dive challenge.

It comes after Tammy reflected on her relationship breakdown with Love Island Australia star Matt Zukowski during Sunday night’s episode of Shark!
The Queensland-based influencer struggled to maintain her composure as she reflected on the ordeal in front of her castmates.
‘It was a very public marriage, and then it was a very public divorce, over a very short time span, which sort of just adds to the humiliation I guess,’ she said.
Tammy went on to admit she has been ‘trying to find herself again’.
Tammy and Matt married in November 2024, and announced their split in June 2025 after just seven months of marriage.
Tammy was spotted canoodling with AFL star Bailey Smith eight weeks later, and is now in a relationship with 23-year-old toyboy beau Grayson Te Moana.
